Natural Dye Lecture & Workshop

A continuation of our cultural mapping. This time with Jocelyn Alcántara García of University of Delaware. Through online interactive tutorials, participants will learn some of the scientific aspects of coloring materials using natural sources like plants and even insects. This workshop is designed to show that science is everywhere and it’s for everyone! This 17 minute lecture shows you how to get started dyeing at home. Shared with us by Jon Cox.

Equally interesting is the public document of everyone’s experiments with dyeing. Fun to scroll thru, and fun to add to.
